A look toward the house from the south east. Practically every night several deer meander across the back yard stopping to munch on our grass or the tender tops of our knockout rose bushes.

Another view from the loft. You will see an "attic access" door. These are screwed shut. Inside you would see an impressive display of sprayed foam insulation that is used throughout our house. Very well insulated.

Here is our guest bedroom. It has a full size bed with chest of drawers, plenty of closet space, and is right beside the guest bathroom. This bedstead is around 100 years old, maybe more. It belonged to "Tennie", Susan's great grandmother. Tennie and her husband, Wiley, are in the large picture you see on the wall. We "rescued" this bed frame from an old smoke house and restored it.

Here we are on the south side of the lot looking north. Notice the deck is covered on two sides against the house.

Our kitchen has custom hickory cabinets, microwave/venthood combo, stove, dishwasher, and lots of pull out drawers.

From the stairs looking into the great room you see the tall vaulted ceiling. We finally have a suitable place to hang the 8000 pc jigsaw puzzle we worked several years ago.

Here is the view from the living area up into the loft. You can see an additional table that can be used for dining or games. Exposed steel plated cypress trusses highlight the vaulted ceiling.

You can walk down the wooden deck to the fire pit. We always have plenty of dead wood nearby. We have enough seats for 10 at least.

About a quarter mile down the road is Cove Creek Recreation Area. It has a pretty decent swim area and camp sites as well as two boat launch ramps. Of course, the lake level can alter this at times.

This is the view you will see from three of our nearby lots. Year round. The view from our house is similar but only in the winter when you can look through the leafless trees.

In the guest bedroom

In the loft there is no lack of sleeping options. We have four twin beds and one full bed. In the winter you can see the lake from the double windows. Carpet on the floor helps muffle sound. There is a ceiling fan here as well. Plenty of air grills keep the loft just as cool as downstairs.
